If you’re grinding through MLB The Show 25 and want to build a top-tier squad without spending a dime, you’re in the right place. This updated guide covers the best and easiest ways to make stubs in MLB The Show 25, especially if you’re on a no money spent (NMS) journey like me.

Since the game’s launch, a lot has changed—not necessarily in how the game works, but in how to efficiently make stubs. I’ve figured out how to squeeze every ounce of value from each mode. Sitting at over 105,000 stubs and nearly done with the Live Series collection (just a few big teams like the Dodgers left), I’ve proven that you don’t need to buy stubs to build a nasty squad. Let me walk you through exactly how to do it.

Diamond Quest: The Fastest Stub-Making Machine in the Game

Let’s start with the undisputed best method right now: Diamond Quest. A lot of people are sleeping on this or just doing it wrong. If you’re not good at the game—don’t worry. You can still complete these without playing on higher difficulties. For those that can handle Hall of Fame or Legend, you’ll move even faster.

Here’s what you need to know:

    Why Diamond Quest Works

    • Each run takes 30–40 minutes max if you stay focused.
    • You earn packs, XP, program stars, and guaranteed diamond players.
    • Sell EVERYTHING—we’re here to make MLB The Show 25 stubs, not collect cards right now.

    Realistic Returns per Run

Even if your pack luck is mid, here’s what you’re looking at:

    • ~10–15 packs per run
    • Bonus cards like Jake Burger, Walker Buehler, etc., which sell for 10K–15K+
    • Minimum return of 15K–25K per run, more with better pulls

You can easily make 30K–40K stubs an hour by stacking multiple runs. And the best part? You don’t even need to pay full attention. I usually multitask—grinding Diamond Quest while researching for my betting channel, watching YouTube, or listening to a podcast. It’s truly a brainless grind with insane value.

    Smart Strategy for Diamond Quest

If You’re Good at the Game:

    • Go straight for strongholds
    • Play on Hall of Fame or Legend
    • Knock out the missions fast and pull those diamonds

    If You Struggle:

    • Take your time
    • Play on All-Star or Veteran
    • Complete the events and moments first to build momentum

Either way, aim to complete the whole Diamond Quest path. The bonus packs and guaranteed cards are where the value stacks up. Don’t skip steps!

Conquest: Stack Packs While You Stack Missions

Next up is a tried-and-true classic: Conquest. Some people underestimate Conquest, but I’m almost finished with every single one in the game—and let me tell you, it’s worth it. I’ve pulled dozens of diamonds just from these grind maps, and while I haven’t hit anything over a 90 OVR yet, I’ve gotten:

    • Multiple 87s, 88s, and 89s
    • Players like Mookie Betts (sold for 87K) and Ketel Marte (120K!)
    • Ballin’ is a Habit pack, Headliners, Chase packs, and more

    Tip: Stack Your Grind

If you’re doing Team Affinity or other programs, grind Conquest while working on those missions. It’s a two-for-one deal.

    Sell What You Don’t Need

    Don’t be a hoarder.

    • If you’re not going for Live Series collections, sell every Live Series card.
    • Sell pipeline cards, Road to the Show cards, Threads Program players—anything you’re not actively using.

Unless you truly think a player will explode in real life and rise in price, it’s almost always smarter to sell now.

Ranked Seasons & Battle Royale: Risky but Rewarding

These aren’t for everyone, but if you’ve got the stick skills, Ranked Seasons and BR can be huge for stubs.

    Ranked

    • Every win = a pack
    • Win more = upgrade your Ranked Program
    • You get diamond rewards, XP, and stubs just for climbing the ranks

If you’re solid at the game and can win consistently, this is low-key one of the best ways to print packs and potentially hit huge pulls.

    Battle Royale

    • Short-form games = faster cycle time
    • BR rewards include flawless diamonds, packs, and stub bonuses
    • If you can go 12-0 or even just consistently hit 7–9 wins, it adds up fast

Warning: If you’re not confident in your skills, skip Ranked and BR. There’s no shame in that—you’ll just waste time if you can’t win.

Events: Easy Stub Farming for Casuals

This one is a game-changer for casual players.

    Events are:

    • Always on All-Star difficulty
    • Have limited rosters, meaning you’re not outgunned
    • Feature player and pack rewards via missions and win milestones

You can build up your programs and collect stubs without sweating your record or facing goon squads.

Plus, since events rotate regularly, there’s always a new opportunity to farm easy rewards. To keep up with the latest updates and strategies, check out timelapsemagazine for comprehensive guides and tips that help you maximize your gaming experience.

    Pro Tip: Stack Everything

The key to maximizing stub gains? STACK everything.

    Here’s what I mean:

    • Run a Conquest map → work on Team Affinity missions
    • Finish those → unlock packs, XP, and diamond cards
    • Knock out Diamond Quest → sell rewards, stack more packs
    • Hit Events or Ranked for extra progress and packs

It’s a never-ending cycle that feeds into itself. Stack. Sell. Reinvest. Repeat.

I’ve opened over 1,000 packs without spending a single dollar, and it’s all thanks to stacking everything together.

Final Stub Tips (Read This in MMOexp.com!)

Let’s wrap it all up with a few more rapid-fire tips to squeeze the most stubs out of your grind:

    Sell Your Stuff

    • If you’re not using it, sell it
    • Live Series cards depreciate—don’t hold them unless you’re close to a collection
    • Gear, bat skins, perks, pipeline junk? Sell. Sell. Sell.

    Don’t Over-Invest in Collections

If you’re not aiming for Live Series Completion or Set Collections, don’t waste stubs locking in players. Always weigh whether locking in rewards is worth the missed opportunity of selling that card for 100K+.

    Grind Wisely

You don’t need to play 10 hours a day. Just:

    • Stay efficient
    • Multitask if possible
    • Use your time to stack rewards through multiple programs

    Final Thoughts

There’s no magic formula in MLB The Show 25—but there is a correct grind path, and it’s Diamond Quest + Conquest + Events + smart selling.

If you follow this guide dialogueexpress, even playing a couple hours a day, you’ll make thousands of stubs daily and build a strong, competitive squad faster than most.
